Baggage damages, Partial contents loss, Damaged of contents

Please be noted that declaring your damaged baggage is only possible in writing and we are unable to accept by telephone.

We would like to settle your claim as quickly as possible, therefore we would appreciate your cooperation as detailed below.

1. To process your claim please send:  

  • a copy of your baggage tag
  • a copy of your boarding pass
  • a copy of your passport*

*in case of China Eastern/Shanghai Airlines, Air China, EgyptAir) 

2. Please take photos of the damaged baggage including the damaged part of it or the damaged content. 

3. Description of the damaged baggage

  • when did you purchase the damaged baggage (year)
  • how much did it cost
  • is there any brand name
  • wheels: 2 or 4
  • size
    • cabin
    • medium
    • large
    • extra large

Description of the damaged content 

  • when did you purchase the damaged item 
  • what was the value of the damaged item

4. In case of missing items please send us a list:

  • when did you purchase the missing item(s), please note them one by one
  • what was the value of it, please note them one by one. 

5. Please provide us with the following information:

  • permanent address
  • temporary address 
  • telephone number
  • name of your insurance company, if any 

In the event of any damage discovered after receiving your luggage the complaint must be completed within 7 days from the date of receipt. 

Please ensure that any attachments are less than 1 MB.

Please note that the airline will not accept any claims for valuable, fragile or perishable items packed in checked-in baggage. No liability for minor damage to the exterior of your baggage (such as minor scratches, soils, staining, dents, etc) resulting from normal wear and tear or for water damage to non-waterproof baggage.
